Internet Marketing

Todays article is about Internet Marketing and its difference with “Search Engine Optimisation”. In fact SEO is a part of Internet Marketing which covers a more broad base of ways to gain you site more traffic and business and the way your site converts this business.
Areas covered by Internet Marketing.
Search Engine Optimisation
Paid Advertising
Web Analytics
Conversion tracking
Affiliate Schemes
Etc.
These factors are all important parts to your website. Gaining the right listings and exposure will help your site, but often if you site doesn’t look right or isn’t easy to buy goods or for potential clients to work out what services / products your offering, they will often move on to the next site.
So using web analytic packages can help, getting feedback from people who use the site, what good?, what good be made better? Tracking your conversions can only really be done with e-commerce sites, but looking at traffic funnels to your site (How users move through your site) in conjunction with looking at what products / pages get looked at the most is also a useful way of helping your site to generate the most sales.
Finally getting further exposure to your site can help by setting up affiliate schemes that other websites can sell your products and services or using this the other way around, so products that you don’t sell but have a similar theme, you could generate revenue from users buying products from other sites after visiting yours.
